Biography
Dr. Theresia Liem, MD Medical Advisor Dr. Theresia Liem has over twenty years of clinical experience and has held a number of positions as Physician and a Specialist/Consultant in the field of intern medicine and clinical oncology, in the Netherlands. Prior to arriving in Hong Kong, Dr. Liem worked in private practice, in the Netherlands and was Chairperson of the Oncology Commission of Laurentius and an Oncology Clinical Trial Coordinator. Since being in Hong Kong, she has been involved in the research as a Visiting Scholar at the Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Liem achieved her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She has been trained as an Internist at the University Hospital Maastricht and has been trained and served as a specialist-Oncologist and a Haemato-oncologist at the Dr. Daniel den Hoed Cancer Centre, Erasmus Medisch Centrum in the Netherlands. During her spare time and retirement, Dr. Liem is a voluntary Medical Director and Board Member for The Leprosy Project, operated by RCHKS (Rotary Club Hong Kong South)-Handa Projects International Limited.
