Biography
Dr. Fong obtained his B.S.Sc. in Economics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and Ph.D. in Finance from The Ohio State University. He is now an Associate Professor of Finance at CUHK Business School. He receives annually teaching awards of the Business School. In the academic year 2002/2003, he received the Business School’s Outstanding Teacher Award. His research interests focus on dynamics of asset prices, market micro-structure, and Hong Kong financial markets. He has a number of publications in well-respected Finance journals, including Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Banking and Finance. He also contributes to the profession; for example, he is now a member of Banking and Finance Industry Training Board of Vocational Training Council, Hong Kong.
