Biography
Sai Ming Ngai is an associate professor in the Department of Biology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong SAR China. He earned his PhD at the University of Alberta Edmonton Canada. Currently he is a core member of the State Key Laboratory for Agrobiotechnology Institute of Plant Molecular Biology and Agricultural Biotechnology. He is also the director of the Chinese Medicinal Fungal Proteomic Laboratory in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He had published 46 reviewed papers and is the author of two book chapters. He has more than ten years of teaching experience and has served as a reviewer of peer reviewed journals like clinical chemistry, molecular and cellular proteomics, proteomics, plant cell protein science and biochemistry.
Research Interest
His main research focus is on Proteomics and bioinformatics; protein/peptide structural and functional studies; viral and stem cell research; research and development on modern chinese medicine.
