Eric Palmer

Biography

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Eric Palmer serves as Cigna's Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Palmer has executive leadership responsibility for all of Cigna's financial operations and functions, as well as for Cigna's Investment Management and Underwriting units. Prior to this role, Palmer served as the deputy CFO for Cigna, and previously held financial leadership positions with Cigna’s U.S. Commercial healthcare business, Cigna's global healthcare business, and Cigna-HealthSpring. He has also held the role of chief pricing actuary for Cigna's U.S. business. Palmer joined Cigna in 1998 and has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility, including leadership positions in Underwriting, Human Resources, Pricing and Financial Reporting. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He holds a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa.
