Biography
Dr. Vincent Ko received his B. Sc. (1999) and Ph. D. (2003) from the University of Hong Kong. His Ph. D. works mainly focused on the designs, syntheses, photophysics, and photochemical studies of metal-containing photochromic compounds and luminescent organometallic compounds. After his doctoral study, he continued to work as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. Vivian Yam. He joined City University of Hong Kong in September 2006. His current research interests include the design and synthesis of luminescence, photoswitching and photochromic materials, and functionalization of these molecular materials towards the design of photo-regulated active transporters, scavengers, chemosensors, smart surfaces and devices.
