Biography
Professor WONG Man Kong joined the Department of Accountancy in July 2017 as Chair Professor of Accountancy, with concurrent appointment as Acting Head. Prior to joining CityU, he was a tenured full Professor and J. Page R. Wadsworth Chair in Accounting and Finance, School of Accounting and Finance, University of Waterloo where he also served as the Ph.D. Program Director. Professor Kim has been Honored Professor at the School of Management, Fudan University, Distinguished Honorary Professor at the Business School of Sun Yat-sen University, and Distinguished Professor at the Institute of International Business and Governance, The Open University of Hong Kong. He obtained his BBA and MSc. in Accounting degrees from Seoul National University, and his Ph.D. degree from Temple University. Previously, he worked as Chair Professor of Accountancy with concurrent appointment as the Head of the Department of Accountancy at City University of Hong Kong for six years (2009 to 2015). Professor Kim also worked as Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance at John Molson School of Business (JMSB),
