Yan Aihua

Biography

Dr. YAN Aihua received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. She was an assistant professor at the Saint Louis University before joining the City University of Hong Kong. Her research mainly focuses on understanding how IT transforms organizational behavior and impacts organizational performance. Her current research interests include IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing, IT governance, multi-sourcing, business automation, innovation, and business analytics. Her teaching objective is to create a nurturing learning environment and cultivate self-motivated leaners. Her teaching interests include global outsourcing and offshoring management, business analytics, information management and business intelligence, E-commerce, and programming and problem solving. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Information Technology, International Journal of Information Management, and she has presented several papers at academic conferences such as International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). She also serves as a consulting director at Devott Inc., a leading Chinese sourcing company.
