Bernice Mclaughlin

Biography

Bernice qualified from the University of Dundee in 1993 and spent three years as a SHO in oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. She has worked as a general dental practitioner in Scotland and Ireland for many years. Since 2008 Bernice has been a dental outreach tutor for final year dental students from the University of Dundee. She was the curricular lead for the Accident & Emergency / Oral Surgery Department of Aberdeen Dental School where she also taught. Bernice obtained her LLM in Healthcare Law and Ethics from the University of Dundee in 2014 and became an associate dentolegal adviser for Dental Protection early in 2015.She was appointed as a dentolegal adviser in 2016. Bernice maintains her clinical commitment by providing NHS Surgical Dentistry Services on referral and remains actively involved in teaching final year dental students.
