Biography
Elaine qualified from Leeds University in December 1986, and was commissioned into the Royal Army Dental Corps in 1987 on a Short Service Commission before taking a Medium Commission in the Royal Air Force in 1992. She has extensive experience of primary dental care within the military, both in peacetime and on operations, and served in the first Gulf war conflict. Elaine now works as a civilian salaried practitioner within the Armed Forces, and maintain my military roots as a Royal Auxiliary Air Force Dental Officer with 4626 Squadron. She have also gained experience within the NHS, Private and Community Dental Services as a locum dental surgeon whilst studying for my legal qualifications, so have a broad knowledge of many areas of dentistry. Elaine holds a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies, she is currently studying for the Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics. She joined Dental Protection in September 2014 as a Part-Time Associate Dentolegal Adviser working two days a week in the Leeds office.
