Biography
Phil qualified from King’s College Hospital Dental School, London, in 1987. After two years as an associate in Essex, he bought his own NHS dental practice in Manchester and over the years combined a career in general practice with part-time clinical teaching and research at Manchester Dental School. During this time he also became involved in Foundation Training, eventually becoming the Adviser for the North Manchester Scheme. He sold his NHS practice in 2002 and worked in part-time private practice in several practices in Yorkshire. Phil has obtained a Master’s Degree in Medical Law from the University of Northumbria. Phil was appointed as an Associate Dentolegal Adviser for Dental Protection in 2008 and became a full-time Adviser in July 2011.
