Biography
Raj graduated from University College Hospital, London. His clinical experience in general practice spans 30 years mostly as a multiple practice owner. During this time, he combined his general practice career with his roles at the London Deanery first as a VT course organiser and later as a Strategic Associate Raj has considerable experience of the NHS and the private sector. A member of the original Options for Change task group in 2001, Raj was then appointed as a Policy Adviser to the Department of Health where he served his three-year term. He has been a professional adviser to the NHS, the private and corporate sector for many years. Raj has authored/co-authored several text books, published numerous articles and contributed to a number of e-learning initiatives. He has examined nationally and internationally for the FGDP and is a visiting lecturer to a number of postgraduate teaching programmes. He has lectured extensively throughout the UK and in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland, South Africa, Hong Kong and the Caribbean. Raj first worked as a Dentolegal Adviser for Dental Protection in 1993 before becoming a Senior Dentolegal Consultant in 2011. In 2016 he was appointed as the Dental Director.
