Biography

Dental Surgeon DMD (Boston), MDS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) (HK), AdvDipOMS (HK), MOMS RCSEd Dion was born in Hong Kong, but followed his family to Vancouver, Canada at the age of 12. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree with First-class Honors in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University, Dion relocated to Boston, US, to pursue a career in dentistry, and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine with Magna Cum Laude from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dion then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, US, where he rotated through different hospitals and received training including hospital dentistry, dental trauma, intravenous sedation, and provided care to war veterans, terminally-ill patients and special needs patients. He was in private practice in Vancouver, Canada, prior to his return to Hong Kong to obtain additional qualifications in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Hong Kong, where he received intensive oral surgery training, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implantology, bone grafting, and management of oral pathology. He has since completed a three-year Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In his spare time, Dion enjoys travelling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and spending time with his wife and family.
