Biography
Dr. Xie Yi, Ph.D., is Executive Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Extrawell Pharmaceutical Holdings Ltd. He has been re-designated as the chairman of the Board and has been appointed as the chairman of the Nomination Committee, both with effect from 5 December 2013. Dr. Xie Yi is the vice chairman and chief executive officer of United Gene Holdings Limited, and a professor of School of Life Sciences in Fudan University. He is one of the founders of United Gene group in the PRC. Being a scientist with breakthroughs in human genome research, He is currently responsible for research and development and the day-to-day management of United Gene group. He joined the Group as an executive director in 2001. On 29 April 2004, he was appointed as the chairman of Changchun Extrawell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Dr. Xie is currently responsible for the overall management of the Group. Dr. Xie has discloseable interests in the Company under the provisions of the SFO.
