Biography
Lisa completed her Physiotherapy degree at Sydney University in 1989. Lisa has operated her own Physiotherapy practice, PhysioXtra, on the Central Coast for 20 years. Her Pilates studio, Central Coast Pilates, has been in operation for 10 years. Lisa began using Pilates for rehabilitation with her patients in 15 years ago after completing Levels 1-4 in Clinical Pilates with Dance Medicine Australia. In 2003, having witnessed the benefits of Pilates, Lisa pursued comprehensive training in the Pilates Method. She completed her Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction, Diploma of Pilates Practice and then the Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method through Pilates International. After attending the inaugural Polestar conference in Australia, Lisa felt compelled to train with Polestar. In 2009, Lisa completed the Polestar Pilates for Rehabilitation course. Lisa is also a certified pre- and post-natal Pilates Instructor through Caroline Anthony. Lisa has mentored Polestar Pilates students for three years and has recently joined the Polestar Educator team. She also enjoys conducting in-services and workshops for Pilates Instructors to increase their skills and confidence in dealing with clients with pain and injury.
