Biography
Dr. Ada Ma graduated in Medical Science at Cambridge University, UK with BA Honours and MA Honours. She completed her clinical training at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and her elective training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School, USA. She then continued her Oncology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital and was appointed as an Honorary Clinical Tutor in Medical Oncology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Following fellowship training, she further pursued her subspecialty training in Haematological Oncology at the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Queen Mary Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians, the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in the research of targeted therapy in treating cancers which minimises the damage of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to normal tissues. She has contributed to research publications in local and international journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and has been an Editor of the Hong Kong Medical Journal. Dr. Ma will provide a comprehensive service for diagnosed cancer patients which will include target therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and inpatient care.
