Mr. William Yim

Biography

Mr. William Yim studied electronics and electrical engineering at Hong Kong Polytechnic. He has intensive knowledge and experience on electronics assembly technology, micro joining technology, advanced laser processing technologies, printed functionality for electronics, microelectronics, semiconductor, optoelectronics, biomedical and other advanced manufacturing industries. Mr. Yim is also a knowledgeable expert in production engineering, product design, strategic business planning and management. Mr. Yim actively participates in industrial, technological and social affairs. Mr. Yim was the founding senior vice president of Hong Kong Optoelectronics Association; founding member of Hong Kong Electronics and Technology Association; founding member of Hong Kong Intelligent Transport System Association; founding member of Hong Kong Practical Philosophy Society. At present, he is the President of Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association; Vice Chairman and Technology Sub-committee Chairman of Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association; Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industrial Limited; Vice President and Secretary General of Hong Kong Opto-Mechatronics Industry Association; President of Rotary Club of Tai Po, District 3450. Mr. Yim is also one of the advisors to HKTDC Electronics / Electrical Appliances Industries Advisory Committee, Science Faculty Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University, and the Manufacturing Technology (Tooling, Metal and Plastic) Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) of Education Bureau, the Government of the Hong Kong SAR.
