Biography

Marco Ho is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the faculty, he was engaged in cross-disciplinary research in energy harvesting as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Deparment of Electronic Engineering. His current research interests include analog and power-management integrated circuits, energy-harvesting systems, wireless power transfer, and embedded system applications. He received the BSc degree in computer engineering from Queen's University in Canada, the MSc and PhD degrees in electronic engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Ho has been enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and has received a number of teaching awards. He has also authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, and was a recipient of Best Paper Awards in 2015 IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON) and in 2011 IEEE Student Symposium on Electron Devices and Solid-State Circuits (s-EDSSC). He is currently a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and has been serving as a reviewer for more than 20 journals and international conferences. He has also served as a Session Chair in 2014 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems (APCCAS).
