Biography

Dr. Aaron Chu is a Specialist in Ophthalmology, certified by the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong and is a Member of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of the United Kingdom. He originally graduated from Tufts University in USA with a BSc, before returning to Hong Kong to complete his medical degree at the University of Hong Kong.  He then continued his training in the field of Ophthalmology before subspecializing in Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgery (Eye disease and Eye Plastic surgery). He then spent 15 years at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital as a specialist in disease of the eyelids and surrounding tissues, including face, orbits and tear ducts, before starting his own private practice. Apart from treating general eye diseases like cataracts and refractive error, Dr Chu provides many specialized cosmetic surgery procedures including: Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Lower Eyelid and Eyebag Removal Surgical Removal of eyelid tumours Surgical Eyebrow Lifting Mid-Face Lifting Tear Duct Obstruction Surgery Thyroid Eye Surgery With his extensive background in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and continual advance of his techniques through cosmetic training in Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, Dr Chu is dedicated to delivering safe and effective treatments to enhance and restore patient’s beauty.  He is the Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and is available for consultation at the Life Clinic by appointment.
