Biography
Professor Doris Yu is the Vice Director of Research and the Head of Graduate Division of the Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her research interests include gerontology and long-term care, with particular focus on chronic disease management, dementia caregiving and activity-based interventions for older people. Over the years, Professor Yu has successfully obtained a total amount exceeding HKD10 million from various research funding agencies including General Research Fund and Health and Medical Research Fund. She has extensively translated the research results into high quality teaching and social service, and has been honored with the Award of Excellence in Social Engagement (Best Impact) 2013 and the Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2014.
