Biography
Professor Iris Lee is a registered nurse and a registered midwife with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. She received her PhD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has been engaging in the tertiary nursing education since 1995. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing and the Hong Kong College of Education and Research in Nursing. Professor Lee's key research areas of interest include gerontology and long term care, nurse education, clinical service and nursing management. Her MPhil research explored the association between job satisfaction and autonomy of nurses. As a nurse educator, she is also interested in enhancing critical thinking abilities and clinical competence of nursing students. Her PhD research was on developing an exercise programme to promote exercise adherence among older people with knee osteoarthritis in the community using a mixed-methods research design. Recently, her research studies focus on gerontology and long term care relating to accidental fall, chronic illnesses and clinical service.
