Biography
Mr Alam is the Group General Counsel of Noble Group Limited (A listed company in Singapore, SGX:N21; ranked 76 at Forbes Global 500 in year 2013), since August 2005. He heads Noble’s legal team and oversees all legal, risk and compliance issues in the group’s 65 offices across 35 countries. Before joining the Noble Group, he served as General Counsel to AIG’s Asia investment businesses before becoming the Executive Director of Law at Morgan Stanley. He was a board member for Morgan Stanley’s non-Japan Asian corporate entities and executive director of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (Asia). He holds an LLB Hons from the University of Manchester and is a qualified lawyer in both Hong Kong and the UK. Mr Alam oversees all legal-related matters at NOVUS and advises on the business development in NOVUS.
