Biography
Lucy Baker is an experienced Physiotherapist from the United Kingdom having graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2007. She also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Neuromuscular Physiotherapy and is a qualified acupuncturist. She started her career working in the National Health Service (NHS) and in private practice where she gained invaluable experience in medical and orthopaedic related physiotherapy care in a hospital setting. As part of her private practice work, she was the Team Physiotherapist for the National 7’s Rugby Team. This role encompassed the management of elite level athletes in an acute on-field environment, injury rehabilitation with a full return to sport and a pro-active role in injury prevention. This exposure to the management of elite athletes combined with her own athletic abilities, having played field hockey at national league level and having a national ranking in tennis, lead her to define her career path towards physiotherapy in a private setting both in a hospital and clinic. In these roles, she focused in musculoskeletal conditions especially spinal issues, orthopaedic post-operative care and sports rehabilitation. She also had the privilege to work exclusively for an Olympic Medical Team both in London and abroad for the London Olympics in 2012.
