Biography
Olivia Catry is a South African trained Physiotherapist having started her studies initially at the University of Quinnipiac in Connecticut before completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town in 2012. She is also a qualified acupuncturist (Hong Kong University Space). During her studies, she gained invaluable experience working with the medical teams at the Cape Town Rugby 7’s, University of Cape Town’s Men’s Division 1 Rugby Team and Cape Argus Cycle Race. Her responsibilities included on field management of elite athletes from acute injuries to prescribing a rehabilitation and fitness program for a full return to sport. Such exposure to high performance athletes and her own sporting pursuits both as a provincial representative for hockey and tennis, developed her keen interest in the specialty of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
