Biography
Dr. BonitaMark graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong in 2002. Before her internship, she had elective attachment in the University of Nottingham, City Hospital in UK in the Clinical Oncology and Breast Surgery Departments. She obtained her fellowship in General Surgery in 2009 and started to work in the Breast Team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital since then. She received overseas training in several famous breast centres in 2011, namely, Kameda Hospital in Japan,Seoul National University Hospital in Korea, European Institute of Oncology inItaly and the Memorial-Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in USA. She was promoted as Associate Consultant and Head of Breast Services in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2012. She then received the GB Ong Travelling Grant 2014 from the University of Hong Kong and attended the Oncoplastic Masterclass in Paris Breast Centre. She started working in the Breast Division in Queen Mary Hospital from 2015. Dr. Mark served as the Secretary of the Women’s Chapter of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong in 2013-16. As an accredited trainer in Crew Resources Management by Safer Health Care, she actively participates as an instructor in various simulation courses. As an honorary academic staff in the University of Hong Kong, she is also actively teaching and assisting in examinations and courses. Dr. Mark is devoted to participating in various local and overseas breast conferences and workshops including the Milan Breast Conference,International Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Symposium, Asia Pacific Federation Congress and Global Breast Cancer Conference. Her presentations and publications include topics on one-stop diagnostic breast clinic, endoscopic drainage after breast augmentation, radio-guided occult lesion localization (ROLL)and lobular carcinoma in-situ (LCIS).
