Biography
Yuan Kun graduated in medicine from China’s prestigious Peking Union Medical College and specialized in dermatology after which he obtained his Masters in Public Health from Kyushu University. In 2000, he joined Shanghai Tian Wei Investment & Management Company where he was in charge of biotech and pharmaceutical projects the firm was undertaking. Two years later he joined Nanjing University (NanDa) Science and Technology Park Co. where he worked under Gong Yong Qiang. His area of focus with NanDa was hospitals and healthcare investments. Prior to joining Sinophi in 2010, Yuan Kun was a freelance healthcare consultant in Beijing and Jiangsu province where he undertook projects involving M&A, restructuring, and hospital operational efficiency.
