Biography
Gary Tse is a clinician-scientist with training in physiology, medicine, cardiac electrophysiology, public health and healthcare management. He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in July 2015. In August 2015, he joined the professorial track at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. In 2016, he was awarded the Croucher Foundation Clinical Assistant Professorship, and subsequently joined the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Principal Investigator at the Faculty's Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences.For his contributions to science and medicine, he has been elected to seven fellowships. He has attracted over HK$9.1 million as a principal applicant and co-applicant. He has supervised over 50 medical and science students for medical research, publishing more than 65 full publications, of which more than 45 were published as first/co-first/corresponding/co-corresponding author with an h-index = 19.
Research Interest
Pre-clinical and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, inflammation and endothelial dysfunction in cardio-metabolic disorders, stem cells and cardiovascular regeneration, epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases.
