Biography
Dr. Johnson Wang obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Medicine from School of Public Health, Peking University, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been appointed as Research Assistant Professor in JC School of Public Health and Primary Care since 2016. Dr. Wang is awarded the Early Career Award by the International Society of Behavioral Medicine in 2016. He is the Principle Investigator of four research grants including Health and Medical Research Fund and AIDS Trust Fund. He is a member of the Hong Kong Society of Behavioral Health, and the Associate Director of the Community Research Program on AIDS. He has published 34 papers in peer reviewed journals and awarded 6 research grants as principal investigator

HIV related risk behaviors: Sexual risk behaviors and substance use among at risk population (e.g. male sexually transmitted diseases patients,men who have sex with men, clients of female sex workers and transgender women) Theory-based behavioral interventions: Applying health behavioral theories in promoting preventive behaviors (e.g., HIV testing, condom use) and biomedicalHIV/STD intervention (e.g. male circumcision, pre-exposure prophylaxis, HPV vaccination, treatment as prevention) among at risk population ​ ​
