Biography
Prof. Kin On Kwok joined The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. He obtained his PhD degree in Public Health Medicine from the University of Hong Kong in 2008, followed by postdoctoral training in influenza research at the University of Hong Kong. He is responsible for teaching introductory courses about biostatistics and data management in the Public Health undergraduate curriculum and acts as a capstone project supervisor in the Master of Public Health curriculum. His primary research focus is infectious disease epidemiology.
Research Interest
To understand the transmission dynamics, epidemiology and evolution of infectious diseases To evaluate the infection control policies To understand the human immune state to influenza infection and vaccination over the course of a lifetime To develop methods and measure social contact networks and patterns To understand the behavioral responses of people to infections and how this may feedback into the infection dynamics
