Biography
In his earlier career, Professor Leung practiced as a service based public health physician at the Department of Health in Hong Kong, with wide experience in disease control, health services management and health regulation. He had served as Deputy Director of Health and Controller, Centre for Health Protection before joining the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he teaches and coaches master students in public health and health services management. Prof. Leung has served as temporary advisor in traditional medicine and non-communicable diseases for the World Health Organization. Dr Leung has been active in public health specialist training and examination. He was the Vice President of the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine, the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine from 2010 to 2013, after serving as the Chairman of the College Education Committee and Chief Censor from 2005 to 2009. He was also a member of the Education Committee, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
