Dr. Ruth SM Chan is affiliated to Medicine & Therapeutics and Centre for Nutritional Studies, CUHK . Dr. Ruth SM Chan is currently providing services as Research Assistant Professor. Dr. Ruth SM Chan has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented works at many national and International conferences. Dr. Ruth SM Chan contributions have acclaimed recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Ruth SM Chan is actively associated with different societies and academies. Dr. Ruth SM Chan academic career is decorated with several reputed awards and funding. Dr. Ruth SM Chan research interests include Nutrition across lifespan; lifestyle modification in the prevention and the treatment of diet-related chronic diseases.Dr. Ruth Chan has been involved in several diet and nutrition surveys across lifespan from infants and children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women, women of childbearing age, to the older population in Hong Kong. She has been involved in several randomized controlled trials to examine the effectiveness of a lifestyle modification program (LMP) in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and obstructive sleep apnea. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles on the association of diet and various chronic diseases.
