Biography
Dr. Lau graduated as a dental surgeon from Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Dental Institute at the University of London. Following graduation, he started his career in general practice for two years prior to embarking onto a series of hospital appointments. He held senior house officer posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery, children’s dentistry and special care dentistry at renowned hospitals in the UK including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King College Hospital and Birmingham Children’s hospital. During this time, he was awarded his Membership in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Lau later joined the Dental Public Health programme at the University College London. He was awarded a Master of Science degree with distinction and Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He then pursued a career in Orthodontics and began a three year Orthodontic training programme, based at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital. He held a Master of Orthodontics degree, and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Lau is passionate about continuing education and is happy to treat both adults and children. His main areas of interest are invisible cosmetic orthodontic braces including lingual appliances and invisalign, and multidisciplinary treatment.
