Dr. Michelle Yuen

Biography

Michelle follows her passion in orthodontics. She has undergoes a three years full time postgraduate training in Orthodontics from the University of Hong Kong, followed by a further 2 years higher training at Department of Health in Hong Kong. She obtained a Master degree in Orthodontics, as well as the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh at 2009. She is a Fellow in both the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong (Orthodontics), and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Dental Surgery). During her study, Michelle has been participated in various researches. Her work has been published at a few journals and she was also co-author in book publication. Dr Yuen has also won an international award (IADR GSK Innovation in Oral care Awards) based on her research at 2008. Michelle is a cheerful and gentle lady. She is a mother of two young children, she understands the fear the child is facing when having dental treatment, so she tries to carry her work out in a friendly and gentle way. Her main areas of interest are growth modification and aesthetic. She believes orthodontic treatment should not look at teeth alone but the whole facial profile.
