Biography
MeiYun Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Department of Microbiology LKS Faculty of Medicine the University of Hong Kong She obtained her BA in Genetics in 1986 and MS in Biochemistry in 1989 from China Agricultural University She received her PhD in Natural Science in 2000 from Aachen University Germany .Her expertise lies in antibody field. She has published over 30 peerreviewed articles in HIV/AIDS and cancer research and is a coinventor of three US patents and several US patent applications. She received NIH federal technology transfer award from 2003 to 2008.
Research Interest
Elucidation of the mechanisms of protein interactions in virus entry and cancer cell proliferation. Development of antibody-based novel approaches for prevention and treatment of viral diseases and cancer.
