Biography
Dr. Ekwenibe graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Microbiology in 2002. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and subsequently completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Ekwenibe joined the cardiology faculty at UTHealth McGovern Medical School as an assistant professor in February 2013, and currently serves as the echo lab director at LBJ General Hospital.
