Biography
I have an extensive background in a number of areas of research, including genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology, with specific training and expertise in gene regulation and protein-protein interactions. My work has focused on determining how mutations in genes that cause vascular diseases disrupt protein and/or cellular function. I have a record of productive research and have acquired the background and knowledge to successfully pursue the biochemical, molecular and cellular studies to confirm that mutations in putative FTAAD genes disrupt enzymatic activity, protein function and/or SMC phenotype.
