Drew Garty

Biography

As a leader of Veeva System’s expanded clinical data management solutions, Drew Garty is passionate about developing and implementing technology solutions to solve the life sciences industry’s greatest challenges. His focus is on building Veeva Vault EDC and Veeva Vault eSource applications as a part of a comprehensive Veeva Vault Clinical suite. Drew’s career in pharmaceutical technology spans nearly 20 years and includes significant experience in eClinical system architecture, design, and development, as well as process design, solution validation, and international implementation and support. His first decade in the industry focused primarily on the development and successful application of EDC. Drew spent the majority of his career prior to Veeva at PAREXEL, where he led the operational institutionalization of EDC, quickly increasing the utilization of EDC from 25% to over 95% in less than two years. Next, Drew and his team developed technology solutions in large scale partnerships and also focused on driving the development and standardization of risk-based monitoring tools and techniques. Drew was recently awarded the Clinical Innovator of the Year award by Partnerships in Clinical Trials for his novel approaches to risk-based monitoring.
