Tibor MÁtrai

Biography

Tibor MÁTRAI had been working as a responsible person for variety testing and registration at the company. At the beginning maize, wheat and sunflower were the main crops, these were the first successful Hungarian listings and domestications of Agromag. Till Hungary joined the EU, sunflower testing and registration was one of my most important jobs. A lot of confectionary hybrids were tested as a specialty of the company. In the last decade sunflower variety tests getting less importance but experiments helping sunflower seed productions are getting more important. In 1999 he started breeding of cereals. He is a member of the Section of Oil and Fiber Crops board of the European Seed Association.
