Julianna Farkas

Biography

I'm Julianna Farkas at the Faculty of Humanities of ELTE I got a Hungarian-Latin teacher diploma in 1988. In the last year as a lecturer, I taught Latin at the Leëvey Klára Grammar School in Budapest. After completing the university, I worked for two years at the ELTE Eötvös Collegium in 1988, and as an external co-worker at the PetÅ‘fi Literary Museum, XX. I was doing a hundred-year collecting and processing work. From 1996 I worked at the Pedagogical Institute of the School of Commerce, Catering and Tourism of the Budapest College of Economics. I am primarily responsible for the theoretical subjects of pedagogy, education and the history of education, as well as practical seminars such as communication, speech technology, pedagogical seminar, and - for 10 years - one-week field work for full-time students. I led public education practice. In addition to teaching in Andragogy, I also teach culture sociology and philosophy history. In 1998, I completed a successful entrance examination at the ELTE Doctoral School of Education, where I defended my dissertation "Value and value difference in secular and ecclesiastical secondary education" in 2005 by "summa cum laude", later in the form of a book in Balassi Publishing. Between 2006 and 2015, I accepted the Deputy Chief of Science of the Faculty of Veterinary and Veterinary Affairs of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (I am still in charge of the latter), organizing various events, academic life (TDK, Student Competitions, R & D, Agora, Forum, Economics Club, etc.) and the coordination of the Institute's work. For many years I have been a member of the BGF Level Quality Assurance Committee (head of the Caribbean Quality Assurance Committee) and I am currently a member of the Scientific Council, the Master Board and the Dean Council of the Caribbean. (I participated in auditor training in 2008 and 2011, where I passed a successful exam.) I am a member of the National Association of Teacher Training, the Teacher Education Committee of the MAB and the Teacher Training Committee of the Hungarian Rectors' Conference.
