Biography
Andrea has taught academic writing in the Departments of Gender Studies, Sociology and Social Anthropology, Philosophy, Medieval Studies, History, Nationalism, Environmental Sciences and Policy, Legal Studies and Economic Policy. Since she joined the Writing Center in 2004, she has been involved in various outreach projects, teaching writing courses for Hungarian universities and the Hungarian National Bank as well as delivering research writing workshops for the Max Planck Institute in Germany and the European University St. Petersburg. Andrea holds an MA in English and German Language, Literature and Teaching and a PhD in Postmodern English Literature and Culture from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her work has appeared in the Neo-Victorian Studies Journal, The AnaChronist and Holmi. Andrea's book "Rewriting the Victorians: Modes of Literary Engagement with the 19th Century" was published in 2013 and won the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE) Book Award for first books in Literatures in the English Language in 2014.
