Biography
Dorothee Bohle is Professor of Political Science at Central European University, Budapest. Before joining CEU, she was a research fellow at the Social Science Research Center, Berlin. She also held visiting positions at the Center for European Studies, Harvard University, the European University Institute, where she was a Fernand Braudel Fellow, and the University of Florida. She obtained her PhD from Free University of Berlin in 2001. Her research focusses on the political economy of Eastern Europe. Her recent book, Capitalist Diversity on Europe's Periphery (Cornell University Press 2012), which she co-authored with Bela Greskovits, is the winner of the 2013 Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research. She is also the author of Europas Neue Peripherie: Polens Transformation und Transnationale Integration (Münster, Westfälisches Dampfboot (2002) and has published numerous book chapters and articles in Studies in Comparative International Development, West European Politics, Journal of Democracy, European Journal of Sociology, and Review of International Political Economy.
