Biography
Felix joined the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations in September 2014. His areas of interest comprise of Political Theory with a focus on refugeehood, asylum and migration. He also works on just war theory and pacifism, and is interested in the debate about ideal and non-ideal political theory, the political theory of Jürgen Habermas, Niklas Luhmann and Hannah Arendt as well as in the critical theory of the Frankfurt School. His dissertation project concentrates on issues of refugeehood and asylum from a political theory standpoint. Before beginning his PhD in Political Theory at CEU, he taught courses on Political Theory and the Systems Theory of Niklas Luhmann at the University of Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität). He obtained his Master degree in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and completed his Bachelor degree in Political Science, Sociology, Economics and Law at the University of Erfurt, including one year abroad at the University of Tartu. He was also awarded a Junior Scholarship at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C. in 2011.
