Biography
Gábor Klaniczay is currently a Professor in the department of Medieval Studies, Central European University, Hungary. He Graduated in History, Medieval Studies, and English Philology in 1974 at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, postgraduate studies in Paris with Jacques Le Goff (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) and Michel Mollat (Sorbonne), Dr. Phil. at ELTE, Cand. Sci. at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Habil., Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Dr. Sci. of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Correspondant étranger de l‘Académie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres, Paris.

Material Culture and Everyday Life, Medieval Mentalities - Magic, Witchcraft and the Supernatural, Political History and History of Political Thought, Religion - Ecclesiastical history, Saints and their Cult, Monastic Orders, Renaissance and Early Modern Studies.
