Biography
Gheorghe MOROSANU is Professor at CEU (Central European University, Budapest) since 2002, after previously holding positions at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi (Romania) and University of Stuttgart (Germany). PhD earned in 1981 from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, under the supervision of Professors Viorel Barbu and Adolf Haimovici. Author or co-author of 15 books (monographs and textbooks) and a great number of research articles. Recipient (in 1983) of the Gheorghe Lazar Prize from the Romanian Academy. Appointed in 2008 as egyetemi tanár (university professor) by the President of Hungary. Doctor Honoris Causa of Ovidius University, Constanta, Romania since 2016.
