Dementieva, Ekaterina was born on July 28, 1958 in Moscow. Daughter of Igor Dementiev and Klavdia Vol'nova. Master of Science in Chemistry, Moscow State University, 1980. Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, Moscow State University, 1987. Research scientist Moscow State University, Chemistry Faculty, 1980—2000. Senior research scientist Engelhardt Institute Molecular Biology, since 2001.
