ISTVÁN ALTORJAY is working under the Department of Gastroenterology, Institute of Internal Medicine at Debrecen University, Clinical Center ,Nagyerdei krt. 98., H- 4032  Debrecen, Hungary, He also undergone the board examination: Internal medicine; Gastroenterology, Clinical oncology He is a full professor, head of department, President of the Hungarian Society of Gastroenterology He also has membership in societies such as Hungarian Society of Gastroenterology, Hungarian Society of Internal Medicine, Hungarian Society of Oncology, Hungarian Society of Arteriosclerosis and International membership: GTH, Danubian League against Thrombotic Disorders he has Publications of  87 papers; 26 book chapters Scientometrics:  IF: 145,1;  Independent citations: 671; Hirsch index: 16
