Bakács, Tibor was born on December 28, 1946 in Budapest, Hungary. Son of Tibor Bakács and Erzsébet Polgár He have done doctor of Medicine, Semmelweis University, Budapest, 1971. Doctor of Philosophy, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, 1978. Doctor of Science, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, and 1986 .He started his career Clinician Heim Pál Children's Hospital, Budapest, 1971-1973. Researcher National Institute Vaccines, 1973-1975. Research fellow, department tumor biology Karolinska Institute, Stockholm in 1975-1977. He is the Head laboratory immunology National Institute Oncology, Budapest, 1977-1982. Research fellow, department immunology Paterson Laboratory, Manchester, England, 1982-1983 and worked as Head department immunology National Institute Oncology, Budapest, 1983-1999.He was also the Vice president research United Cancer Research Institute, Alexandria, Virginia, 1997-1999. With Alfréd Rényi Mathematics Institute, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, since 1999.
