Biography
Chemist, founder and Chief Scientific Officer of N-Gene. Dr. Literati have been principal inventor for compounds in the hydroximic-acid family, of which four molecules (BGP-15, lead compound of the Company as well, as arimoclomol, bimoclomol and iroxanadine) have reached human phase 2 in clinical developments. Prior to taking this position in N-Gene, he has served as scientific director at various pharmaceutical corporations, including Biorex Ltd. (Budapest, HU) East Europe’s first venture capital backed high-tech research company. During the initial years of his professional carrier Dr. Literati had worked as a research chemist at large pharmaceutical corporations in Hungary, such as Chinoin Pharmaceuticals (today, Sanofi) and Egis Pharmaceuticals. He has been (co-)inventor of over 40 (allowed) patents, and (co-)author of numerous publications on stress-response related drug research involving hydroximic-acid derivatives. Dr. Literati holds a PhD in chemistry from Technical University, Budapest (today, Budapest University of Technology and Economics).
