Richárd Schwab

Biography

Dr. Rich Schwab graduated from Semmelweis University in 1995. He has been working for ten years at one of the most respected home medical gastroenterology centers as a pupil of Ákos Pap, who is the leader of the experimental and applied research of invasive endoscopy and pancreatic diseases. In addition to clinical patient care, he has gained considerable experience in developing drug and diagnostic procedures. He has spent many years at foreign universities (Basel, Vienna and London), has participated in the preclinical and clinical development of a new drug currently active in Phase II clinical trial (TT-232) and then in the international licensing. He is author of numerous international articles and inventive patents. Development with István Peták the introduction of a genetic test that is a breakthrough in the diagnosis and treatment of domestic lung cancer. With the support of the Demján Sándor Foundation, the MBA graduated with CEU-IMM in December 2008 with an excellent qualification. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Hungarian Biotechnology Association. In recognition of its medical and scientific achievements in 2006, the Hungarian Gastroenterology Society awarded Magyar Imre Award.
