Biography
Dr. Sandor G. Vari, M.D. in 1989 he received a Fulbright Scholarship to study biomedical photonics at the Laser Research Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC), Los Angeles, California. Dr. Vari in 1993 organized the Hungarian Fulbright Association and member of the Fulbright Association USA. In 1994 the Foundation Research and Technology HELLAS (FORTH) Greece invited him to organize a biomedical optics group. From 1995 to 1997 he worked part time at the Laser-und Medizin -Technologie gGmbh, Berlin as a scientific coordinator. He received several prestigious research grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, the Department of Commerce and the European Union.
Research Interest
In 2002 Dr. Vari established the International Research and Innovation Management (IRIM) Program at CSMC. In 2006 Dr. Vari organized the Regional Cooperation for Health, Science and Technology (RECOOP HST) Consortium with Cedars–Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA and eleven Central and Eastern European (CEE) universities and academic organizations from seven countries.
