Biography
A molecular biologist with extensive experience in classical genetics, innate immunity and biochemistry. My main profile is recombinant DNA manipulation, recombinant protein design and expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. During my career I worked on the Drosophila melanogaster model organism. - I have studied the expression of putative phagocytosis receptors during fruit fly ontogenesis. - I have designed a new assay system to measure the pathogenicity of microbes in Drosophila. - I created a novel flow cytometry application to study the attachment of proteins to bacterial cells.
